Multi-Line
...cost savings and flexibility for enterprises and consumers
Multi-Line is one of a set of on-board applications that can be provided with the Aepona Universal Service Platform. The Multi-Line service provides two separate phone numbers on the same handset with one SIM, and it works with any standard handset available on the market. Each phone number can be managed as a separate network subscription, so each can be separately provisioned with services and separately billed. With the Multi-Line service, the same handset can provide corporate VPN services, paid for by the employer, and a separate pre-paid subscription paid for by the personal user.

Cost Savings for the Enterprise
The compelling characteristic of the Multi-Line service for network operators is that it can be used to provide cost savings to the important enterprise segment, while at the same time increasing network operator revenues. Most enterprise mobile telephony users at present also retain a separate personal mobile phone. Depending on the market share of the network operators in question, the likelihood is that the majority of these personal subscriptions will be with other network operators. The Multi-Line service allows for this personal voice and data traffic generated by existing enterprise users to be managed and charged alongside existing enterprise traffic.
Increase Enterprise penetration
Multi-Line helps increase operators' market share within the enterprise segment by enhancing the individual user experience. Employees of enterprises that are Multi-Line users will be attracted by the ability to reuse their company handset for personal use on a separate line, thus saving them costs. Similarly, the ability to reduce costs while retaining positive sentiment within staff is likely to be attractive to communications purchasers within most enterprises. Since typical enterprise subscribers generate above average ARPU within most network operator user bases, this feature of the Multi- Line service allows for significant revenue uplift.
Flexibility for the enterprises and employees
Employers don't want to have to pay phone bills for their workers, but they do want to be able to contact them. Employees don't want to carry two handsets, and don't want to change phone numbers every time they switch jobs. The Aepona Multi-Line service resolves all these issues by providing two separate and independent subscriptions on one handset with one SIM. The employer pays for only those calls that are work related, while the employee retains their own phone number, and their privacy.
Seamlessly integrate & upsell new services to the same group of customers
Because Multi-Line is hosted on Aepona's Universal Service Platform, other applications from Aepona & its partners, as well as those developed by the operator, can be seamlessly integrated with the Multi-Line service and up-sold to the same group of enterprise customers. This further enhances the user experience, increases loyalty and improves ARPU, and keeps new service deployment costs to a minimum.
